Cyberbullying at School in a Nutshell - with Padlet

                                  Fake Profiles with Real Consequences

Holaaa my dear amigos! 👋🏻

Today, I am going to share my task with you guys. In our Instructional Technologies class, our teacher gave us a task to create a collaborative project on a global issue. So I want to share the process of the task and the information about this topic.

 My Project Process

I collaborated with my classmates Zinnur and Nehir, we decided to focus on cyberbullying at school. You can visit their blogs by clicking their names. Honestly, it is an important topic, and we believe more people need to be aware of it. We used Padlet to make a chart where we wrote what we already knew, what we wanted to know, and what we learned throughout the process.

Padlet is a helpful tool to create informative charts. Working as a group was the best part and we really felt the spirit of teamwork. When one of us did not know something, the other stepped in. We completed each other, and that made everything easier. We shared our ideas, challenged our thinking to come up with a great result. I think I am going to give such tasks to my students in the future as it improves searching skills and critical thinking skills.

Thanks to Padlet, we were able to collaborate as a group, work on the same page, and make edits together. I think it is a really useful tool for group work. It helped us present important facts about cyberbullying in schools. We hope our charts can help others learn this issue better.

Why Does This Project Contribute to the Development of 21st Century Learning Skills ?

I think this project is a great example of 21st-century learning skills such as, communication, problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. As I said, we were involved in all these elements. Thanks to such tasks, I become confident in my ability to collaborate and contribute to group work. Zinnur, Nehir and I know how to share information in a digital environment and work together effectively. Thanks to such projects, I became more confident in group work. We, together, created something impactful and focused on a critical issue like cyberbullying.
