Goodbye for Now

                                                        My Last Words..

Hola mis amigos! Hope u are all good.

This post is kind of a goodbye. It feels sad but maybe I can maintain writing about new topics in the future. First of all, this blog had a real purpose to share the tasks I completed for my Instructional Technologies and Material Design course. When I first started, I was really excited because I felt like I was doing something meaningful and active. I was so curious about the tools and for creating something new. Then, I really enjoyed finishing activities, and participating group projects.

From now on, I won't be sharing course-related tasks. But I want to share my ideas about this course. I really learned a lot about the usage of technology in the classroom. I believe that future students will need technology and teachers should integrate it into their course effectively. As teachers, we need to improve ourselves and learn how to integrate technology in creative ways. I should push my students to think creatively. We should give them enough guidance for the homework but also leave space for creative thinking ✅ As teachers, we shouldn’t do everything ourselves. We should give tasks that make students active. When these tasks combine with technology, they give students many opportunities. For example, like we did in class, students can make infographics or use AI for voice chat. These kinds of assignments can be very helpful. I believe going beyond the usual ways will have a good effect on students.

Before taking this course, I didn’t realize how useful technology can be for language learners. But later, I learned that technology is the best friend of language students. For example, they can practice speaking with AI, check grammar, learn new words, and many other benefits. Also, I didn’t know much about online collaborative tools before, but thanks to this course, I learned that tools like Padlet can help create great projects.

One of the best things I learned was Punya Mishra’s TPACK framework. I think every teacher should look at it and improve themselves in using technology. As a future English teacher, I want to give tasks like in this course and help my students think creatively. I want to be a teacher who uses technology in the right way in class and makes students active.

Finally, I want to thank my teacher, Gökçe Kurt, for offering such a great course that really increased student participation. ❤️ She encouraged us to use technology, and it was an unforgettable experience for me. Now that the term is over, I feel very emotional when I look back and review the tasks I completed for this course. 😢

I hope you all have enjoyed my blog so far. Stay tuned for new posts in the future. Take care!
